Although there is a growing acceptance of same-sex marriage throughout the United States and other parts of the world, LGBTQ families continue to face many legal challenges when seeking to establish their parental rights when using assisted reproductive technology. Davenport Law has been assisting LGBTQ couples  in building their family using assisted reproductive law since 2015. Damian Davenport is an advocate of LGBTQ equality and reproductive rights. In 2016, Damian represented clients in connection with the appeal of Utah’s Gestational Agreement statute, which lead to the 2019 Utah Supreme Court’s unanimous decision granting same-sex couples the same benefits and protections afforded to heterosexual couples under Utah’s Gestational Agreement statute.
